Bedliner update – 6 months later

Project Behemoth bedliner van

Well its been about 6 months since I painted my 1989 Dodge Ram van with Dupli-Color roll-on bedliner. Overall, I have to say I’m very happy with the results. As mentioned on the site, I did decide to coat the bedliner with Rustoleum epoxy paint, and that has made a big difference in the overall look of the vehicle. The bedliner still looks as good as the day it was applied.

Here in Texas, we face pretty extreme weather conditions. In just 6 months or so, my van has seen 100+ degree scorching sun, freezing weather, torrential downpours, and even light hail. I have driven the van several hundred miles, power washed it several times, and scraped tree branches. There is no visible damages to the bedliner or the Rustoleum paint.

I still have a unique, durable, and relatively good looking vehicle for a small fraction of the cost of even a cheap paint job. painting my van with bedliner was a great decision, and I would do it again. I think it will help the resale value compared to the faded 80’s paintjob that was on the van, and I still get a lot of attention when I’m driving the beast around.
